Loom Made For Eight Limbs Working In Tandem

We watched the spiders

jumpers orb-weavers ogre-faced wolf

legs & fangs, chelicerae and spinnerets.

Their eyes in the light.

Your teeth on my cheek.

You worm your way in-

to the soft white root of her heart.*

However long ago yesterday,

I tore god from the ground, a dandelion, ripped out the roots

and ate her.

This close, in the meat of me. You & god, my blood.

A branch of you at my shoulder, my hip.

The weave of the world, a fly,

trapped. A spider, about to eat god.
